About Tibetan Children's Home (TCH)
The Tibetan Children's Home (TCH), located in Dhondupling Tibetan Colony, Dehra Dun, India has been helping hundreds of children since 1991. Praised by the Dalai Lama as the first institution of its kind, TCH was founded, financed and directed by Tibetans to serve needy Tibetan children.
We, the staff at TCH, invite you to assist us with our charitable efforts to provide impoverished Tibetan children with the basic necessities and a good education in a Tibetan context that will serve them for the rest of their lives. Our sponsors are typically delighted to make such an opportunity available to a needy child and many of them go on to sponsor other children. Won’t you also give one of these children the precious gift of literacy and a proper education?
Dechen Angmo lives with her father in a village of Ladakh, India. She is reading class VI. She takes keen interest in reading books, and her favorite sport is valley ball and Kabaddi. Her favorite subject is science. She is very keen to continue her studies but her father is uneducated, single parent having to take care of two daughters. He does not have a permanent job and works as white wash painter on calls. He really wants to educate his two daughters; under these critical circumstances TCH has accepted to educate Dechen on genuine and compassionate ground with a help of a sponsor. We hope to get a sponsor for this needy child.
